केंद्रीय पुस्तकालय नाइजर ने हिन्दी दिवस के शुभ अवसर पर हिन्दी पुस्तक प्रदर्शनी (14 सितंबर से 30 सितंबर 2024) का आयोजन किया। इस प्रदर्शनी में हिन्दी साहित्य की विविधता और समृद्धि का आनंद लेने के लिए सभी हिन्दी पाठकों को आमंत्रित किया गया। प्रदर्शनी में प्रसिद्ध लेखकों की कृतियाँ, आधुनिक और क्लासिक साहित्य, तथा अनेक अन्य साहित्यिक रचनाएँ प्रदर्शित की गईं। यह एक उत्कृष्ट अवसर था, जहाँ पाठकों को अपने पसंदीदा लेखकों के कार्यों से परिचित होने और नई पुस्तकों की खोज करने का मौका मिला। सभी से अनुरोध किया गया कि वे इस प्रदर्शनी का लाभ उठाएँ और हिन्दी साहित्य के प्रति अपने प्रेम को और भी बढ़ाएँ।

Celebration of National Librarian's Day
Central Library, NISER celebrated National Librarian's Day on August 12, 2024, to honor Professor S. R. Ranganathan, the esteemed Father of Library Science, on the occasion of his 132nd birth anniversary. The event was a fitting tribute to Ranganathan's monumental contributions to the field of library science.
Library staff and trainees gathered to pay homage to Prof. Ranganathan, reflecting on his pioneering work and its enduring impact. The celebration featured a commemorative discussion that delved into his innovative principles and their continued relevance in modern library practices. The event provided an opportunity for attendees to explore and celebrate Ranganathan's legacy while engaging in meaningful dialogue about the future of library science.

Odia Book Exhibition on the eve of Utkal Dibasa (1st April 2024)

With open arms, the exhibit welcomed eager readers, who immersed themselves in the richness of Odia literature, seizing every opportunity to delve into the captivating collection.

Book Exhibition 2024
Central Library, NISER organized the NISER Book Exhibition from 5th – 7th March 2024.
Reputed publishers and the empanelled vendors were participated and brought textbooks and reference books from basic sciences to applied sciences across all disciplines of NISER (SBS, SCS, SMS, SPS, SCoS, SEPS, SHSS, CMRP). In addition, vendors brought popular books related to the works of Nobel Laureates, works of Celebrated Indian Scientists & Technologists, and classic books on literature, fiction, biographies, drama, poetry, Hindi/Odia/regional language collection as well as children’s books to the exhibition.

Inauguration of Homi Bhabha and Vikram Sarabhai Hall
The Central Library has established two seminar halls on the third floor, designed to host International-conferences, workshops, seminars. Past Events in 2022
Inauguration of Children’s Library
Central Library, NISER setup a section for the NISER member's kids, i.e. Children's Library. It attempted to create a space where children can learn to explore various things and take some time off from digital gadgets. With books as a common meeting point, children can interact with other similar age group community of book lovers. In this perspective, the Central Library is trying to contribute to the societal cause towards inculcating better thinking and more ideas in the young future.
The Director NISER, was inaugurated the new setup on 11th December 2022 (Sunday) at 11.00 AM on the Second Floor of the Library Building.
