About the Collection
Central Library’s newly formed Popular Science Section offers the ideal ambience and resources for light readers. Reading materials in this Popular Science Collection explain scientific concepts and discoveries in an engaging and accessible manner. This will provide a much-needed break to library users, who spend the majority of their time reading scientific, technical, and academic literature.
These carefully chosen and acquired books and other literature cover a wide range of scientific topics, from physics and astronomy to biology and psychology. They are usually written in a clear, engaging style that makes complex concepts accessible to a general audience, with the goal of making science more accessible and understandable to those who do not have a specific scientific background.
